A MAMMOTH 28-strong cast of Russia's greatest and most talented circus artistes, many of whom have never performed in Britain, is on its way to Scunthorpe.
The performers deliver the most famous circus in the world, combining contemporary and classical circus in ways never before witnessed.
Director Paul Archer, who started off his circus career as a juggler in 1978, said: "We're looking forward to coming to Scunthorpe.
"It's good to get a facility like the Baths Hall – a lot of money has been spent on it, it's a wonderful facility.



"In previous years when the Moscow State Circus came to the UK it would only do shows in Manchester and London.
"It's only more recently that we have been able to move to provincial towns and cities.
"The opportunity arose because people had foreseen to build a facility in a place like Scunthorpe but it's not getting the support it deserves.
"I am hoping it will be different when our circus show comes to Scunthorpe – people won't be disappointed."
Mr Archer has worked with circus animals such as lions and tigers before moving into the management side of things in 1995.
He said: "Working with Russian artists put a new direction on this.
