BILOXI -- In 2012, Bello Nock drew an audience of more than 10,000 to witness his high-wire act across the face of the Beau Rivage. On Thursday, he'll set his sights even higher -- he plans to twirl and dangle by one foot from a trapeze beneath a helicopter flying over the hotel.
He calls the stunt the "BelloCopter" and to perform the feat requires working with the city, the Federal Aviation Administration, "even Keesler Air Force Base," because the helicopter will be near the base's flight path, said Mary Cracchiolo-Spain, Beau Rivage spokeswoman.
Just like last year, the Beau Rivage will make the show a family event. Starting at 11 a.m., the staff will hand out free hot dogs and bottles of water while they last, and there will be balloon artists and face painting.

SUBMITTED
The crowd that gathers across from the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino at noon Thursday will see Bello Nock dangle from one foot while he does his daring trapeze act from a helicopter. He will star in a new show, Funambula, June 11 to Aug. 11 at Beau Rivage.
Spectators are encouraged to bring chairs and set up north of U.S. 90 and along Caillavet Street to watch the show, which will start at noon.
"This year, because of the act he's doing, the entire front gardens are off limits," Cracchiolo-Spain said. The roof of the parking garage also will be closed to accommodate the helicopter that will land and take off with Nock aboard. They will do a flyover and then Nock will perform his trapeze act without a safety net or tether, she said.
